The Italian Society of Rheology (SIR) organizes every two years the
Italian Rheology Conference, which is the meeting point of the National and International rheological community to promote knowledge and discuss research in the field of rheology. The Conference consists of keynote lectures, oral communications and posters on topics related to all the thematic areas of rheology.
The XIX edition will be held in the conference rooms of Plesso Belmeloro, in the city centre of Bologna, in June 16th-19th, 2026.
Book your accommodation in Bologna well in advance, the city is a famous tourist destination and has limited availability of accommodations!
All those with an interest in rheology, in all its aspects, are invited to submit contributions. All accepted abstracts will be included in the Book of Abstracts having an assigned ISBN.
Selected papers will be eligible for a special issue in Rheologica Acta.
The Welcome Reception will be held on the afternoon of
Tuesday 16th June at San Giovanni in Monte, room “Giorgio Prodi” (
https://disci.unibo.it/it/dipartimento/sedi-e-spazi/sedi/piazza-san-giovanni-in-monte-2-bologna), an historic 16th-century building that dominates the neighboring part of the old center of Bologna from its artificial hill.
